Il signor Jorge Simão ha correttamente trattato i bulbi di narcisi ricevuti a novembre. Per alcune settimane ha tenuto a bassa temperatura le varietà della 1a e 2a divisione, piantandoli poi in vaso. A dicembre sono fiorite bene le tazette, le quali non hanno bisogno del trattamento a bassa temperatura, e a gennaio i tromboni e i mediocoronati. Nei prossimi anni le piante si abitueranno alle stagioni dell'emisfero meridionale. 

Thanks to the correct low temperature treatment of daffodil bulbs, Mr. Jorge Simão obtained excellent results with varieties of the first and second disions in Brazil. Bulbs received from Italy in November bloomed beautifully in pots in January. Tazetta daffodils and derived dubbles (Divisions 8 and 4) had no need for cold storage prior to planting and did very well. These plants get easily accustomed to the change from northern to southern hemisphere seasons.
